Breakfast, Day Twenty

  • (not pictured) whole wheat hamburger roll with 2 slices low-fat Cheddar cheese
  • 1 packet Knott's Berry Farm raspberry shortbread cookies

I overslept and was running late for class. I made a cheese sandwich and shoved it down my throat, but I still felt light-headed and hungry (from not enough sleep, I'm sure).

I went to the vending machine at school to get a soda, but was overcome with hunger and/or temptation, so I tried to find the least offensive selection out of a sea of candy, Pop-Tarts & chips. These cookies had 240 calories, 11g fat, 33g carbohydrates (13g sugar), and 2g protein. Not a good choice. This is part of the danger of eating on the run or, more accurately, not leaving myself enough time to make a healthier decision, such as grabbing a bagel at the deli on the corner.

Then again (and it's an excuse) I only had about 1-2 hours of sleep, so I shouldn't be surprised that I wasn't thinking my most clearly.
