- 4 oz turkey breast patty topped with 1/4 red pepper, garlic, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 cup mushrooms & some Dijon mustard
- whole wheat sandwich roll
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- blueberries
Oh man this was fabulous. At first my boyfriend thought it was a beef hamburger, I suspect because of the Worcestershire sauce, which I'd debated omitting, but I'm very glad I included.
I was very pleased that this meal did not include salad, as it made perfect sense to put the veggies on the burger. The recipe had actually called for mixing them in with the turkey meat to make a much larger patty, but since I'd bought already-prepared turkey patties, I didn't want to mess around with them.
The blueberries were a disappointment, especially because they cost almost 4 dollars for a less-than-one-cup package. The flavor was okay, a little tart, but they were dry and almost crumbly inside. I suspect that I will enjoy the fruit on this diet more in the summer, when it is fresher and more affordable.
