- 2 Eggo whole grain waffles
- 1/2 cup tropical fruit (microwaved to make it warm)
- 2 tbsp slivered almonds
- 1 cup skim milk
I was so tired today that I ended up sleeping until 6:30pm. I'm rather horrified, considering how much I needed to work today, but now that it's done I admittedly am feeling a lot less worn down than I was.
My boyfriend and his brother were up really late last night, and coupled with the nap I'd taken, I had a really hard time getting to sleep and then staying asleep. My mind has just been racing with all the stuff I should be doing and a big old pile of anxiety. My first thought on waking was that I should just race out of the apartment and skip all my meals so that I could get working, but I see how awful that's been for me lately, so I decided to calm down, eat the breakfast meal, update this blog for the past few days, and organize my thoughts for a while.
With this diet, as with my life, I have to calm down, not fret so much, and allow myself to quietly and efficiently get things done without so much drama. I also have to stop demanding that I act superhuman and work within my capabilities - I can't go without food and sleep, and if I do, there's going to be a big crash at the end.

Hey Sam,
Of course I don't think you're a freak!
I really appreciate your support and it's great knowing that someone else out there is going through the same things I am.
I hear you on the lifestyle versus diet thing - I suspect it will take a lot of time before I stop thinking "I can't wait to get this diet over with and order a pizza!"
I'm always happy to hear from you - drop me a line anytime - it keeps me inspired too. We can be like virtual diet buddies ;-)
Take care, and good luck!
Hi Lie, Thank you for stopping by - your nutrition class sounds so interesting (your fried rice recipe looked great)! I'm thinking of doing something similar when I have more time this summer, as I think it would help if I better understood what I was doing with things.
And Hi Sam! No I absolutely haven't given up, though I do apologize for neglecting to update. This has literally been the busiest week I've had in... well, years, really. Thank you for reminding me, though, because sometimes I forget how long I let it go between updates. How are things going with you?
